- Manual transmissions are characterized by gear ratios, selectable by locking selected gear pairs to the output shaft inside the transmission.

- During a transmission flush:
- We inspect the transmission pan for particles
- We switch out the fluid and transmission filter
- Check for signs of wear, damages, or rust
- A flush is required when there are signs of high wear or contaminated transmission fluid. Draining the transmission does not remove all the fluid from the torque converter and cooler lines.
- A flush involves disconnecting a cooling line and running the engine to pump clean fluid throughout the transmission, flushing out the contaminated fluid and any particles.
